Data Deletion Instructions

Effective date: June 5, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of the data Brightcave LLC holds about you, what we delete and when, and how to revoke any social platform authorization you have granted us. For the full picture of how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of your data, email us at hello@brightcave.com with the subject line "Data deletion request."

Please include:

  • The email address associated with your account, and
  • If your request concerns a connected social account, the Instagram or Facebook account (or business) involved, so we can locate the right data.

We may ask a question or two to verify your identity before processing the request — this protects you from someone else deleting your data.

What we delete

When we process your request, we delete the personal data we hold about you, including, as applicable:

  • Your account and authentication data (your email and session records).
  • For connected social accounts: provenance links back to the original posts, and the encrypted OAuth access tokens for the connection.

Timeframe

We will acknowledge your request promptly and complete deletion within 30 days. If we need more time or cannot delete certain data because the law requires us to keep it, we will tell you what we are retaining and why.

Revoking Facebook or Instagram authorization

If you connected an Instagram or Facebook account to a Brightcave service, you can revoke that authorization at any time to immediately stop us from processing your account. You can do this yourself, directly with Meta:

On Facebook (web):

  1. Go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
  2. Open Apps and Websites (under Security / Apps).
  3. Find Brightcave in the list of active apps.
  4. Select it and choose Remove.

On Instagram:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps and Websites (or Website Permissions).
  2. Find Brightcave under Active apps.
  3. Choose Remove.

When you revoke authorization, we delete the stored OAuth access tokens for that connection.
